This is why you're missing out on your life
Sometimes the stimulus comes from ourselves; sometimes it's a person or a situation that makes us realize how precious life is. Knowing that we have a limited time on this earth, we should savor every moment because it could be the last...Today, I am going to talk about 5 habits that you must change to live your life to the fullest:
#1. You don't consider your own needs
When you want to please everyone, you tend to forget yourself. To me, putting EVERYONE'S needs before your own means that others are more important than yourself. Now I have a question for you : do you know a lot of people who reciprocate? I guess not and that's understandable! As the saying goes, «charity begins at home».
#2. You let other people influence you
School taught you that... Your parents always told you that... The media shows that... People say that... Science says that... Remember that their opinions are influenced by their personal interests, their own limitations, ideologies, etc. So listen to your inner guide!
#3. You're not setting priorities effectively
There are 24 hours in a day. Let's say you sleep 8 hours, it takes you 1h30(round trip) to get to work and you work for 8 hours. In this scenario, you have 6:30 hours left for you, for your life as a couple, to take care of your children and to do household chores. You find that there is not enough time in a day to do everything, don't you? Since there will always be 24 hours in a day, you need to cut non-essential activities or completely rethink your life(work at home or part-time, have home helpers, etc.).
#4. You don't take action
You are waiting for "the right time" to do things. Because of your current responsibilities, your schedule, the unforeseen events and many other things, you end up postponing and very often not taking up the small or big challenges that you have set for yourself.
Franklin Roosevelt said «winners find solutions, losers make excuses».
#5. You are not living in the moment
Instead of appreciating and enjoying all that life has to offer(a family, friends, home, work, food, precious moments, amenities, health and above all life itself) , your mind has remained in the past or it projects itself into the future.
If you are aware that all these points are obstacles in your life and you cannot manage to get out of them on your own, know that it is okay to ask for help.
